When family and friends gather simply rotate the table to expand.

The Compass round table top rotates as self stored extensions expand into place to form a larger round table all in a smooth motion. Inspired by the Jupe design from the 1800’s with a modern element this table has a nautical feel with the expansion process resembling the motion of a ships Capstan or a Compass center star – as you spin this table it transforms. A round table is amazing for dinner or games with everyone having an equal seating and it’s even better when you can make the table larger. This is made for someone who wants a fixed round table but wants an extremely convenient expansion in the round format.

How Does It Work?

Rotate the side to unlock, then rotate the top to expand. This extremely unique table self stores the extensions and automatically adds and removes the extension leaves as you rotate in either direction.

Round expandable table.

Absolutely love this table! It was packed beautifully, with convenient handles so moving the very heavy top into position on the base was made nearly effortless!! Especially for me, my sons carried it in!
I could use some guidance in placing the lock plate. Once placed on a “non-skid” mat, the table opens and closes beautifully!

Gorgeous, solid wood. Smooth function of the expansion mechanism. Easy to use.

We put a small piece of non-slip rug pad under the base to keep the whole table from rotating on the hardwood floor when we expand and close it, as per the suggestion in the instructions and that worked perfectly.

We really appreciated the sturdy wood handles used to transport the tabletop as well and have stored them in the event of a future move!

Small items that prevented me from giving it 5 stars:
1) Several of the tiny silver bearings that raise and lower the internal table segments fell out during set up. Not enough to impact function, but that probably shouldn't be happening

2) The varnish is really thin for a kitchen table, making it easier for scratches and dings to go right to the wood with no buffer. I don't want to cover it with a tablecloth because the point of having a beautiful table is to look at it! I don't know if this choice is because there was no room for a thicker varnish with the mechanism, but I really wish it had a better layer of protection.

3) The faux wood sticker just under the rim of the moving ring is uneccesary and looks cheap. I would prefer just a coat of stain on it. The table base is low so everyone's legs brush against it and shred the edge of the sticker rather quickly. Not a big deal, but an easy change to improve aesthetics.
