I grew tired of working from home under a twin-sized loft bed, and hitting my head all the time. It felt like neither the desk space nor the guest bed space was satisfying, and I found myself avoiding the room and working from the couch most of the time.

Thoughts on assembly/install:
This unit took us the better part of three nights to unpack and install - listen to the assembly guide when it says unpacking will take longer than you expect! The intense packaging mostly did the job - there was just one damaged corner on the desk part, but we installed decorative metal corner covers to hide the damage rather than deal with trying to send parts back. My ceiling is only 90 inches high, and so we needed a drill extension attachment in order to mount the unit to the wall because our arms couldn't reach into the 3 inch gap - so worth it though!

Overall I'm SUPER pleased - what a clever piece of engineering!

My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with our Compatto bed. The extra bedroom with a great view in our house was first my office. A year later we had to transform it into a guest bedroom to host our exchange student. Once a guest bedroom, I was reluctant to change it into an office space in case I would have to move all my things again, but I missed the workspace, sunlight, and views from that room that was barely bring used. I tried to purchase a small wall-mounted desk, but it was too small, flimsy and I did not like how it would look on the wall when closed.
Then I remembered the Compatto. It is absolutely perfect. I love the large work space the desk provides. The shelves are both functional and most importantly, they allow me to decorate the room that accommodates my office work space, but those personal items can quickly disappear when we host guests. Truly magical. I keep pinching myself when I walk into or even past the room. My husband and his friend were impressed with the construction. It requires two strong people to assemble—there were a few moments where the strength of two strong people were definitely needed. I would not have been much help.
Customer support is outstanding, too.
We also greatly appreciate the extra space in the room when both bed and table are collapsed. I didn’t know how much I missed the space until our old queen bed was gone. We are so very pleased. Thank you.

Had some reservations about the Compatto desk/bed because of the price. But I can safely say it's worth every penny. It's an incredibly well built piece of furniture that will surely last very long time. I've already had guests stay and they've commented how comfortable the bed is.
On the other side I work at the desk setup every day, and as far as workstations go, I can't really ask for anything more. I have a ton of room, and with the 2nd shelf removed, my monitors fit on the 1st shelf no problem. I have 2x 32 ultrawide monitors and no issues.

We bought two of these beds, for two small one bedroom houses (700SF+-), as we wanted to make the most of our limited square footage. We couldn't be happier with the results. The desk and shelves make for an efficient workspace, with room for books, laptops and office supplies, and when rotated, the queen size bed is extremely comfortable (we went with the coil spring mattress), and it folds up with both sheets and blankets (however, not with a comforter/duvet or pillows. The color selection is great, and the completed unit is sturdy. As a result of its sturdiness, the person planning to put together and install the Compatto will need help, at least another person for the fabrication from the flat packs, to two additional people for the standing up and inserting the completed components. We would definitely recommend these units to anyone looking for a combination wallbed/office (or dining) shelves and table.
