This Compact Box Coffee Table that changes to a dinner table is a space saving masterpiece. We compacted the size of our original box coffee to dining table to allow this stunning space saving table to fit in even more homes. Like the original Box Coffee table it can lift up and down to multiple heights and the base size can be extended an extra 39 inches with its built in extensions. The Compact Box Coffee Table that changes to a Dinner Table was created out of a desire from customers who lived in smaller spaces and needed a trimmer version of the existing Box Coffee Table. Space Saving Furniture made to make the most of your living space.
What is the difference between the 2 tables? The only difference is the starting base size. The mechanics, function and expansion are the same in both tables. The original Box Coffee has a slightly larger base while the Compact Box Coffee is slightly trimmer. Refer to the dimensions and photos for a size comparison. The metal legs are slightly less visible in the original Box Table as the outer box frame was trimmed as much as possible to save space in the Compact Box version. The original Box Coffee seats 10 well while the Compact seats 8 comfortably. Consider more people can be seated around either table if it is just for board games or drinks instead of the extra elbow room needed for eating! We recommend choosing the size that best fits your space for daily use.

Weight Capacity
250+ lbs. How strong is the table for dinners? The Box Coffee table is very sturdy and more than capable of supporting a large dinner with plenty of food, dinnerware and elbows.
Mechanism
Hydraulic gas strut. It uses a heavy-duty piston system in place which holds the weight steady. The table will stay in place when you let go of the lever so you can adjust it to any height between the low and the highest setting. Most customers can easily lift and lower the table, however some customers under 150 lbs may require assistance when lowering the table from its maximum height (or simply add on some heavy books).
Locks & Extension
It has solid metal dowels to secure the leaves in place and also has rail locks to prevent extension. This results in a very stable table top that can handle elbows and bumps.
Side Covers
All models have painted metal side covers unless specifically shown otherwise. Some models will have panel covers and are shown in the image variation.
Moving the table
One half of the table has wheels while the other side does not. Pick up the non wheel side to move the table.

I have a 550sq feet apartment. This coffee table is good for small space. It can expand into a dining table when guests come.
I do not regret saving for this. For those that like multipurpose furniture which is also incredibly flexible and feels like it’s built solidly. You can’t go wrong here. Took a chance on the concrete look and love it. The sample I bought didn’t do it justice, but I guess it’s one of those finishes that shine when you see more of it on a wider surface area.
