Tilt sofa

I must admit to being a little disappointed with this sofa. The tilt mechanism works well and it is comfortable when used as a bed. Unfortunately it will spend most of its time used as a sofa which is where I find it a little flawed. The cushions are quite firm and the posture very upright. Fine for basic use but not to snuggle up for a good read. The fabric too has some challenges, it is quite nice and soft but I doubt that it will last well seven with light use. It also needs evening out once someone has been sitting on it - almost like a sheet on a bed. The general look is nice though and it was easy to assemble.

Hi Brad, Sorry you find the Tilt too upright, you actually can tilt the back rest to various angles in the sofa form which makes things nicer, perhaps give that a try! You did buy the last 2 clearance model of the older fabric style which was a smooth soft finish that feels great but needs more care. I don't want customers to be confused that you are reviewing the new Iron Grey and Basket Beige fabrics which are thicker and very well suited for heavy sofa bed use.

Good compromise between sofa and bed, very well finished

I chose the Tilt due to the compromise of available space (I didn't want to clutter the room) and the need for an occasional guest extra bed. The Tilt ended up being a very good choice. Very well packed, the delivery was right on schedule and efficient. When assembling it became obvious that, compared with other online companies out there (wayfair, allmodern, overstock) that I also bought stuff from, this product was distinctly better finished and by and large using superior materials than I experienced before with online brands. One note that can improve relates to the wrench key supplied for assembly, which is horrible and anti-ergonomic, makes the bolting of the arms last twice what they should. But no things badly finished, no uncut threads, every detail I checked was in good order.
The fabric is good quality as is the quality of the upholstery in general. The mechanisms of bedding and tilting are a bit clunky and noisy, but they seem to work well (it's been 4 months now). The round pillow, which in the beginning I thought were superfluous, ended up being really useful, both as lumbar support, or to adapt to all sorts of laying back or side or whatever, they are really handy.
Dimensions: long enough to sit 3 adults, but short for bedding for someone close to 6ft or over. Also I could use 2 or 3 in. more on the legs and on the back for full comfort when sitting upright, but in both I cannot complain, because I was aware this was the trade of to have the room clear and spacious.
Comfort: I gave both the netflix test and I and other slept there over half dozen times, and I was satisfied. It's announced as mid-firm but it's more on the firm than on the mid side. Sitting it actually works well, specially if you have an ottoman to stretch your legs. Works beautifully to lay along like in watching TV or take a power nap, with one half tilted, the round pillows are brilliant to fill in any angle and make it really comfortable. A bit harsh for sleeping for me and othe...
