Pratico Queen Storage Bed with Gas Lift

This is a fantastic bed, with so much under-bed storage! I did a lot of research before buying, and this bed has more storage than virtually all other commonly available beds. It's like having a second closet, and is perfect for small condo spaces. The lifting mechanism is also very smooth and easy to use, making all the storage very accessible for daily use. The bed also looks beautiful - much better than I was expecting based on just the photos. The walnut has lovely wood grain and a chocolate brown finish. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the assembly was quite long, and the instructions were not very clear. You definitely need a second person to assemble this bed, and I highly doubt you'd be able to do it alone. Still, once assembled, the bed is fantastic and you will be very satisfied!

We got the Practico to help us with the storage challenges of downsizing from a house to a small 2 BR condo. After a lot of research we determined that it was the deepest/fullest capacity storage lift bed on the market, takes up the least amount of floor space and looks absolutely fabulous, plus you won't crack your shins on the corners which are rounded. The lift is strong/solid but easy to use. We were unable to get home assembly due to the pandemic, and would recommend paying the extra for this service unless you are technically handy, as we found the instructions difficult to understand, took a long time and we made a couple of errors along the way. However, this gave us the opportunity to fully benefit from Expand's exceptional customer service. Every member of their team supported us and responded quickly to our needs throughout the process, which was quite a bit more complicated due to the pandemic - professional, courteous and helpful service provided before purchase in answering our questions, during purchase, delivery and post-set up. Thank you Team Expand!

In my small downtown apartment, storage space is at a premium. I love this bed for giving me fully double the space I would have had with just my closet. I put a full latex mattress on it (heavy), and the pistons have no problem maintaining the weight. The lift functions perfectly even at the upper end of the recommended weight limit. The assembly instructions recommend two people and I agree that it's probably best to have someone help you put it together... most of it I could have done myself, but a couple steps I think would have been hard for me by myself. On top of all that, the customer service from Expand was great.

We were looking for a storage bed as our new apartment isn't that big and lacked storage space. We decided to go with the Pratico and it had the most storage 13" deep!!. This is the largest space under a storage bed we could find. The package was HEAVY, that is because this wooden bed frame is not made of particle board, unlike some others, this one was solid wood. Once it was assemble and we put our new queen mattress on, the gas shocks had no problem holding our bed up to ensure it doesn't come down while we are grabbing stuff from underneath. We were worried at first as our mattress is on the heavy side, but this had no problems at all. We lift the bed everyday to grab stuff so this was really important. The curved edges make for a clean and modern design and if you've ever stubbed your toe on the corner of a square bed, you are going to love the curved edges. The bed frame does not creak or make and noise if you move around in your sleep a lot like I do. The removable headboard is nice to have as well. My wife and I are moving and we are keeping this bed frame. Another great thing about this bed is that it is easy to disassemble and you are actually able to disassemble and re-assemble. Many beds are almost a one time use, but the Pratico is built to last.

Love the storage and the extra room this bed provides. Took 5 hours for me to put it together by myself. Company very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended this company and bed.

Superb quality. Good wood and everything was solid. It took me a good 4 hours to assemble it. One bolt was bad so I wasn't able to have everything according to plan.

i had this on my bucket list for years. I love the extra storage. its just so pricey but i have to say.. i'm very happy with my purchase. it took us almost all day to put it together but that's bc we're not so handy ppl. instructions were clear. i'm hoping this frame lasts a lifetime. Very Happy and will certainly buy again. I will upload photos as soon as i can.

We recently moved to a much smaller home on a lake and we needed storage desperately! The Queen Pratico Lift Storage Bed provides us with that precious storage! This bed is in our guest room and stores all our household paper products, folding chairs and luggage ours and guests after they unpack for their stay! This is our second Pratico bed purchase and we have one more to go for a guest house. Needless to say we LOVE them and I show them off to all that come and visit!

This was a difficult bed for me to build alone. Recommend two people. I think the instructions could have been more clear by actually adding a few words with the pictures. In English. But the bed works great, looks great, and the customer service was the best I've experienced in a long time. They care about their company and its reputation and that means they care about the customer's experience. Have to give them 5 stars.

Purchased the Practico bed for my room as needed extra storage but still wanted a nice looking frame and it didn't disappoint. Great look, tons of storage and easy enough to assemble with good instructions. 10/10 recommend. -Zach

We wanted to share our review of your Pratico Queen Storage Bed with gas lifts hat we purchased 6 months ago. Simply put, the storage capacity is awesome, the ease of lifting a heavy queen mattress is simple and almost effortless, and the assembly was straight forward and relatively simple with good instructions. I assembled it by myself, but probably better to have another help. We recently downsized our home to something less than 1/2 size and storage became a top priority. The Pratico lift bed makes a huge difference in providing substantial storage. Large enough for travel luggage, extra bedding, valuables and anything else you may have. Depth is great for larger objects and compared to our other queen bed with under storage drawers, the usable storage is significantly more with our Pratico Queen Storage Lift Bed. I must add Expand Furniture's customer service is like no other, especially these days. They are very quick to respond to ANY questions or issues. We plan on buying the white version soon for our guest bedroom mostly because they were such a joy to do business with.

The bed is of good quality, and does provide more storage than any other storage beds i could find. However, the cost is more than other comparable storage beds, and i was disappointed with the spring slats which seam soft and we have cracked one (expand did ship us a replacement very quickly)

Solid quality construction bed, well made, strong, good looking and super comfortable. Our challenge was to fit it in a tight nook of a very small bedroom. We were nervous about the bed overpowering the space, but it worked out great, the height is just perfect. The bed’s storage space is huge, the lift operates smoothly and quietly; we are about to start organizing the storage within. Watch out, Marie Kondo!
