Expanda V2 – Slim Extendable Table

This is my second Expand Table I bought; my daughter loved the first one so I gifted her one and ended up buying the walnut finish . Love it!

Since Covid, my husband and I started a new tradition of setting up our parlor (converted from a formal dining room) into our own private doing room. It takes a bit of an effort because we bring in a heavy teak round table from the patio. So we started searching core a card table or something like it that could be stored under a bed. We came across this website and found the Expanda V2. We were excited to find a table that converted into a decorative piece of furniture! We used it last weekend with 2 leaves and it was absolutely perfect in every way! We also bought 8 of the slim chairs, that we’ll use with the Expanda V2 at Thanksgiving whenever we have lots of guests.

We live in a small cabin and have struggled to make a dining table work. The Expanda V2 works beautifully for us. It easily tucks against the wall with no leaves in. I typically keep 2 leaves to use it as a desk during the day, in our living room. At dinner time, I can easily pull it out to add the 3rd leaf to use it as a dining table (pushing my laptop to the back).

Table feels sturdy and heavy enough for stability. Looks great closed against the wall. A plastic pin broke off in shipping but they were quick on sending me a replacement.
Would love to see version 3 with a mechanism that compresses the table sections together when you turn the middle bracket (inner legs), and opens a gap for easy release of table sections when you close the legs. However, still stays in place as it is, and feels strong as a new table. Will have to see if it stays tight enough as the parts wear off. I recommend it and I would buy it again! Black wood.

It lives up to my expectations! I love how minimal it is when collapsed and huge bonus that the leaves fit right in the table. I'm able to configure it by myself. Perfect multi-size and use table for small spaces.

The look of this table, its finish quality and the sheer cleverness of design are all major pluses. The 8+ inches for storage depth is brilliant.
My one quibble, which took me from 5 to 4 stars is that it doesn’t fold up squarely and I’m left with a most irritating gap, on one or other sides.

It took months to receive the table and then find out it’s not real wood. It’s clumsy to expand and move the table. Not worth the price I paid.

Works great in our apartment. We can have a table when we need it, and it sits collapsed most of the time. As solid as a regular table when extended (but note that it's hard to move once extended). Love that I can change the size depending on what we need.

This table fits into our limited condo space beautifully. It is slim, modern, high quality & easy to use. A great buy!

Overall design of this table is good, but there are some issues we've found since receiving it. While it is a great fit for a small space and looks lovely when stored in the closed position, the following issues stand out to us:

1. The table's finish (Black Wood) shows grease marks extremely easily, even just from touching with fingertips. Other furniture we've had from Expand has also had this issue, and while generally it can be cleaned with a damp soapy cloth sometimes these marks linger.

2. Plastic fittings to keep table frame and leaves together when assembled are very stiff, making it difficult to open. This is primarily an issue with the outer frame sections, as angling the leaves up to remove helps open the fittings, but the frame cannot be moved in this way so requires a fair amount of force to open.

3. Table is wobbly when only using 1 leaf, or when no leaves are inserted. The brace used when 2 or more leaves are in use helps, but I would have expected more stability from a $1400+ table.
