5 years on hardware
Homes have different wall structures and it is important to get the correct anchors for your wall. While most hardware is included in this we do require you purchase your own wall anchors for this reason. After you determine your wall type (Drywall, Brick, Concrete, Wood etc) we can advise you on anchors or you can talk to your local hardware store or have your installer advise. The unit will revolve most easily on smooth surfaces, such as hardwood, but this would still work on carpet and some customers with thicker carpet have used a rolling mat. We can recommend options as well for carpet or if you have very softwood floors you want to protect.
Shelf depth: 8.86 inches
We can also build custom side shelving or cabinets at the same time, view Compatto cabinet options here.
If you prefer to have a 2 tone wall bed this can be arranged, just let us know in your order notes. Choose 1 color of the outer frame & back panel and another color for the Shelves and Table. Or choose all matching. We have sample panels you can order to see physical examples. Please inquire.
Yes most products will be delivered inside your home provided you have an elevator or ground access, sometimes curbside is our only option without excess fees. If you have stairs please let us know ahead of time before you order as we need to make special arrangements.

Since my family lives in a smaller apartment, we ordered a custom piece with two rotating murphy beds and a desk fold-out extension to maximize space and storage. The quality of the materials are great, and overall, we are deeply satisfied with our purchase.
Communication with our designer during the ideation phase was seamless, and we didn't require too many iterations to get to a product that we loved.
Although there were a couple of hiccups in the delivery process (e.g., shipping delays outside of the business's control), the Expand team was communicative and helpful in smoothing issues over.
One thing to keep in mind when you're ordering a custom piece is that, increasing complexity of design will likely entail more difficult assembly. Namely, our unit is a combination of a few standard components, and the instructions we received weren't a bespoke step-by-step guide for our custom unit; instead, we got distinct manuals for the constituent components, and we had to figure out how to combine them all ourselves. As non-professionals, it wasn't too hard to figure out, but worth noting!
Original shipping window was within days of placing the order. However, the revolving panel arrived damaged and the top and bottom panels were missing some mounting hardware (for which I was reimbursed after I purchased them). I am still awaiting the revolving panel, so I haven’t been able to put the Compatto LSG Bed together and the rest of the parts are occupying space in the home office. Needless to say, disappointed so far with the experience.
An update on my order. I received the replacement revolving panel and I assembled it - the process, though it took +2hrs, was fairly straightforward. I was surprised how easy it is to open and how fast I can go from a desk to a single bed and vice versa. I was also pleasantly surprised about how comfortable the memory mattress is.
I also want to highlight and say thanks to Reed and the team at Expand Furniture for their follow-up, on the damage on the original panel and rectifying the issue.
Hi Francisco, it’s wonderful to hear that the unit is working well for your space and that you’re finding the mattress comfortable! While we’re sorry for the initial shipping damage, we’re so glad Reed and the team could get the replacement panel to you and sort this out. Enjoy your new bed!
