Reveal: Queen Side Lifting Storage Bed

This Canadian made Queen storage bed is so much better than the many other alternatives I researched. The entire bed is well made and the appearance is very high end. The real decision point for me was the 13” deep storage underneath, the extra space is huge! It is very easy to open and close. I hired a local furniture assembler and he had no difficulty putting it together. Highly recommend!

I chose the Reveal Queen because my apartment bedroom is smallish and opening the bed from the side was an appreciated feature that was absent from like competitors.

The advertised storage height of 13 inches did not disappoint and is actually a bit taller in some places. This more than doubled what I had on my previous bed setup.

The only knock I have is the bed came with modified installation instructions but the hardware necessary to complete the installation was not included in the box. It had to be shipped separately at a later date. I'm a little handy with tools, but chose to go with their recommended installer but the guy couldn't finish it due to the missing parts.

Having known this, would I still have made the purchase? Definitely.

It's a fantastic product and of fantastic quality. It's been holding up well (and I love no squeaking sounds) and the storage room is quite ample. Functionally and aesthetically it gets a 5/5

One feedback from me is that building it can be quite a chore. In particular the location where some of the bolts need to be inserted into can be a bit challenging with an allen key (such as very near the corner, or obstructed by the other parts). Moreover, when it came there was one hole on the head board that wasn't exposed, it was still covered by the cloth on the headboard. And the wood for that same hole wasn't yet shaved. Thankfully, the hole was indeed large and the remaining food soft enough such that the bolts can still be screwed. But that was definitely one part where the delivery quality didn't hold up to excellence

But overall, I'm still a very happy customer and the product itself can't be faulted

We recently moved into a condo and the Reveal Side Lift is perfectly suited to the space. The bedroom's footprint is suited to a side lift and the storage space is amazing. We can fit suitcases, banker's boxes, extra bulky bedding, etc. into the storage space. The bed has good structural quality and was easy to assemble.
In our particular case we have a thick foam mattress (Dormeo) but the bed lifts well with a little assistance. With the thicker mattress the overall bed height is taller than we anticipated but that is the compromise with having a thicker mattress on top of a larger storage space.
Expand gave great customer service and we would have no hesitation in buying the bed again.

I recently downsized and my room is much smaller than what I’m used to and this bed has been such a life saver! So practical and innovative, I really love it! Another fantastic purchase from Expand Furniture :)

It's big enough that it can fit my hockey bag as well as a bunch of extra storage boxes and bedding.

Now that it has been built and is functioning I’m very happy with my bedframe. The storage is fantastic, and it lifts and lowers pretty easily. However I was a bit disappointed with the manufacturer of it for the following reasons while assembling:
1. Mislabelled parts; or not labelled at all
2. Missing hardware that had to get shipped later
3. 8-pilot holes that were not drilled but were required - I had to email expand asking for permission to do this as the instructions forbid the use of power tools during assembly
4. There are screws that can puncture from the sides of the bedroom through the fabric if you pushed against the sides

Expand was great in their response times. But if I had a choice I would wait to buy this until the manufacturer fixes their pre-assembly issues and update their instructions, or else you’ll be cursing up a storm when assembling this unit

I was in need of a bed that provided the maximum storage as my apartment does not have any storage.. I researched so many beds, the Revel Side Lift Queen Bed was the perfect choice. The bed came quick and the delivery guys called ahead to make sure someone was home. This bed is high quality and provides an amazing amount of storage! It took about 2 hours to assemble, but the instructions were forward and customer service was very responsive and helpful. I have already recommended this bed to friends.

Lots of storage, easy to use, and well made.

There were several screws missing from the package. After some back and forth, and a few reminders, they were eventually sent a few days later.

The instructions, and the diagrams within, are not very clear. It's a bit easier if you have your own tools. Expect it to take a long time, especially if you've only built Ikea before.

All in all, I strongly recommend this product!

I'm so glad I went with this. I was looking at a few other cheaper alternatives, but this offered the deepest space. As the saying goes, a couple extra inches can make a big difference ;)

The assembly is rock solid and the hydraulic lift makes it easy to take up and down. Easy 5 stars.

The main reason why I bought the queen size reveal bed was due to the lift up functionality that allows me to store many items under the bed. The bed did not disappoint and did as advertised. But what left me with lasting positive memory is the customer service of the team. See, my bed frame was shipped with a few malfunctioned parts, when I contacted the team, they responded quickly to and shipped replacement parts immediately. I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service of Expand Furniture. We all made mistakes and what impressed me the most is how the team came together to solve the issues. I will be back if I need another multifunctional furnitures thanks to the team!

Loving the new bed frame. I put it together myself wi the just a bit of help at the end. It’s sturdy and well built. Heavy to lift but holds SO MUCH STUFF! It’s perfect

Moving into a house from an apartment is not easy. I needed all the space I could get, so initially, I thought about purchasing a Murphy Bed. One day while browsing Instagram, I bumped into this storage bed. It is perfect for my small space, lots of storage. This is a great product. The product is exactly as pictured, the finish and quality is great. It takes two people to set up. Great product and excellent customer service. An overall great buy. Highly recommend!

Love the grey color of the bed and how much extra space I suddenly have! It is amazing how much more storage space I suddenly have, especially since I used to have a bed with drawers under it (one of the IKEA ones). This bed efficiently utilizes so much more of the space under my bed. Very pleased with my purchase and the customer service I received!

I purchased Expand’s reveal bed and fully installed it myself. Cannot be happier with the bed, perfect storage for my smaller apartment, looks great, was easy to install by just myself and is exactly what I was looking for. The lift in the side is super convenient and easy to access items below. 10/10 would suggest.
