Great piece of furniture. Delivers exactly as promised - masquerades as a beautiful console table standing against a wall taking up almost no space then opens up to a huge dining room table when I have all the kids over. Absolutely love it! It’s heavier than it looks but that’s just because it’s made solid and one person can still move it around and open/close it.

Exactly as advertised, if not even better. Such a versitile table that comes assembled already (huge bonus) and love how easy it is to maintain (no coasters needed!). The customer service is also exceptional.

This table was perfect for our space. Light enough to move around, but heavy enough to stay grounded. Our space is small, so having this flexibility is key. Definitely would recommend.

We have moved into a "small" home. I'm talking less than 500 sq. ft. We needed something with a small everyday footprint but with the ability to be more. This table and chair set meets this need in spades. We typically keep it small with a chair at it for sitting, reading, or writing a quick note but add one leaf and it's perfect for 4 person cards, add another leaf and it's ideal for dinner for 4. These are are most frequent uses...we haven't had a party yet but seating 8 would be a breeze. Oh...let's not forget that the table and chairs are extremely well made and hefty. They look great if you are into a more modern upscale look and storage is a breeze, the chairs stack in a very small space. Going to a small home has been a challenge but this table and chair set made it much easier. Thanks.

I recently renovated my home and extended the kitchen into the dining area. I did not want a big table taking up space. The Junior Giant table along with the Nano chairs fit my needs perfectly. When not in use, it looks like a beautiful console table. I was able to fit all eight of the Nano chairs in my linen closet and I keep the leaves under my bed. After removing my old table and replacing it with the console, it has opened up my dining room. The table is built solid, the chairs are very comfortable & the functionality is Great. It arrived damage free and packed very safely. The delivery company could not have been nicer. Everyone that has seen it, can’t believe it opens up so much. I was more than a little nervous buying this sight unseen, let me tell you, it by far exceeded my high expectation. It is seriously the best furniture I have ever bought. Arrived quickly to Australia, so perfect for saving space and allowing us an extra large amazing looking dining table. In the non use times it's a stylish side board. What wasn't clear was how comfy the food up padded chairs are, nor did I know the back was solid. Packed so that NOTHING would damage it in transit. Perfect from start to finish! Just totally luv it!!!!

We are very pleased with our new setting from Expand Furniture,from time of order and delivery to Australia it was no more than about 10 days.The table when closed makes an excellent feature in the room and the setting when stored allows a lot more space in our room.Highly recommend this setting.

We love this table that expands only when we need it. It gives us a sense of space when it is in the console position, and it accommodates many friends at a time when we want to have a celebration. It is very solid and has a nice modern look. We are very happy with it and recommend it to anyone who has downsized but still want to entertain with family and friends.

Condo tenants! No need to explain that your living space quality is must! Why to keep a big table and many chairs when you have your lovely guests once in a while? But now you can have that luxury Junior Giant Extending Table looks like a console and then the miracle starts: the console converts to a Giant! Now you can have many guests without compromising your living space! The number of matching folding chairs (they were purchased too) also can be kept somewhere. For ex. I keep them in a storage bed. We purchased the Junior Giant Extending Table Set with chairs and are extremely delighted with our purchase. We have recently downsized to a condo and this table is perfect for our needs. The glossy finish even matches our cupboards and looks amazing. The fact that the chairs collapse flat adds to our space saving requirements. I’ve had my junior giant table for about a year and I absolutely love it! It’s so easy to shift between a day to day setup into an extended table for hosting, etc. I have the glossy white and it looks so sharp and is really easy to clean! The expandable bench is really nice too and takes up such little space when it’s not expanded! It’s great quality all around.

The table is beautiful and so easy to expand and contract. It will be perfect in our new condo.

I just received my table and folding chairs. It is amazing! The chairs are so well made and not your typical folding chair. The customer service was amazing. Told me 4 to 8 weeks it was delivered in one week!! So well made. More expensive then any other expandable table I found but well worth the price. Absolutely perfect for those that have a small space but won’t compromise on taste!!

We couldn’t find a similar product in Australia and after a lot of research found your product in Vancouver. After contacting your Company, we received all the information we needed to be confident that your table and chairs would be a good fit for us. Camilla was extremely helpful and provided us with all the information we needed and kept us informed of delivery dates etc. Even when our table arrived and one panel was slightly different from the others, Camilla immediately dispatched another set of panels. The table looks great and the chairs are comfortable. Everybody in my home loves the table and the chairs!

Love my banquet table in my small apartment. My family dines like kings and queens and then I return it to its small place until the next time. I often use it for special art projects. It never fails to surprise and amaze and fit any BIG use I need it for. LOVE, LOVE, love it.

If this review were just about the table I could rave about it forever. The table shrinks and expands so easily we can switch it around for any need. It’s very high quality, beautiful, and sturdy. We love our table and would recommend it to anyone looking for a product like this to use the Expand table. It’s perfect.

The chairs are another thing. They are rickety and loud, and when my children were younger (4-7) they would frequently have the chair collapse on them. They are constantly falling when somoneone accidentally taps the seat up- the chairs should definitely have a weight at the end of the seat to prevent this from happening. The chairs are also super loud, and the whole thing shakes when someone adjusts themselves.

In short this table was one of the best house purchases I ever made, but I wish I hadn’t spent the money on the chairs. They are super disappointing.

The console table that expands to seat 8-10 works as demonstrated and is easy to use and looks beautiful. Expand Furniture was very responsive to a question I had and I was not given the run around like happens with so many companies. They even followed up with me to make sure that everything was taken care of, which it was. I would definitely order from this company again due to the quality of their product and their customer service.

Prior to downsizing into a small Southern Ontario condo, my wife and I knew we would have to replace many furniture pieces and looked around for smaller / adaptable pieces. Expand Furniture seemed like a great option but our concern was having to buy sight unseen as their showroom is in Vancouver. Still in need of a new dining set after move in, we decided to take the plunge and we ordered the Junior Giant with 8 chairs. Some pleasant surprises: shipping was quick, set up was simple, extra chairs and leafs take up minimal space in the closet, and the fully extended table fits well in our dining area. We can seat up to nine in that area (but haven't done a large party yet). Normal table for us is two inserts but shortly after we had it set up, the grandkids came for a visit and we were short one bedroom. No problem! Slim the Junior Giant to its smallest configuration and the dining room becomes a quick, temporary bedroom for grandkids! Loving the flexibility we have in this table. We did have one minor issue: the table arrived with a small nick. I called Expand Furniture and they responded right away, sending a touch up paint bottle which I used to hide the nick.

I am in love with my Junior Giant table, it is exactly what I wanted, exactly what Expand represents it to be. It is sleek, modern, high quality, reasonable price, easy to set up, easy to add and remove leaves. The nano chairs are a sensation. They fold easily, are beyond skinny and yet are comfortable for seating. My only criticism is that the table legs are wide (as they have to be, to support the leaves and for when it is just a console and not a dining room tale), so it is harder to fit the chairs on the sides than I would like. But not a real issue. Staff at Expand are professional, courteous, helpful. All in all, a great experience and I recommend them, and the Junior Giant, without reservation.

Order went as planned with a delivery meeting my arrival needs. Looks great. Haven’t had a dinner party yet. Works as advertised. We have put sliders under the legs as we have a vinyl floor. Easy to adjust. Folding chairs are pretty comfortable for being wood. I needed them because of storage space. 1200sqft town home.

I can't say enough about this table and how well it works for making the best use of a flex-space in our condo. It's solidly built, attractive, and the hardware operates smoothly. When expanded it can become a gigantic, room-filling banquet table and when it's collapsed for just the two of us, it makes a beautiful console table along the back of the sofa.

The only two cons I can list are that in some smaller configurations, the sliding support leg makes it inconvenient (or impossible) for guests to sit along the sides of the table comfortably and you may have to add an extra leaf just to make room for legs even if the tabletop is sufficient at a smaller size. Also we found that the finish on our wood-finish table was incredibly fragile and was damaged by simple food oils through normal use. We chose to add two coats of polyurethane to our table and, on top of looking a bit nicer, it has been largely indestructible ever since.
