Compatto Free Standing
Helpful Notes & Tips for all installs:
- Clear your room as much as possible before you start the install. Unpacking the panels will take some time, longer than many expect, so do this in advance of your install. You will need a power drill, screw driver, wall anchors and a ladder.
- Hardware Pack? Do not be alarmed if you do not see a big hardware pack as almost all of the hardware is pre attached, so please carefully follow the step by step guide to undo the hardware and then reconnect the pieces once in position.

How do I attach the metal frame into the side wall?
You first loosen the bolt that is holding the large rod in place. Once the bolt is loose you can now move the large rod.
Push the rod so it is inside the side wall of the bed. Proceed to tighten the bolt so the rod can’t move after it is in place.
Important Note: Expand Furniture Inc declines all liability caused by the incorrect assembly of the bed or failure to mount the bed where required. If you fail to mount the wall bed to the wall or correctly fasten it, we do not take responsibility for this. While Free Standing Murphy Beds are designed to not need a wall mount, please follow your local codes and regulations for safety.
