CONVERTIBLE TABLES , WALL BEDS WITH SOFAS & DESKS

Compass Guide

Thank you for purchasing the compass table.

The table top comes in a crated top for protection. Please handle this with care and we suggest 2-3 people move this. Do not handle this by yourself.

Inside the crate the top is fully assembled and just needs to be placed onto the base upright. Do not assemble the table upside down and flip.
Rather place the base down, then place the top on it. You should do this with 2-3 people because the top is heavy.

Once the top is placed over the base, secure it with the provided bolts. You might need to align the top with the base to make sure the bolt openings match the table tops.

Installing the lock:

The new versions have a pre drilled holes. Position the lock in place with the lock thread inserted. Proceed to screw in the plate. When the bolt is rotated in, it will catch on this plate you just installed and prevent the table from moving.  Please do not try and rotate the table with pressure when it is locked with the bolt in place, always remember to unlock it!

How to install the locks:

Opening, Closing and Locking the table:

Underneath the table there is an extra lock. This is not required unless you would like to to be secured all the time. If you lock the underside, please do not rotate the top. You must have the underside unlocked first. Your lock might look different than the image below (old style lock). Make sure it is unlocked before using the table.

To operate the table you need to twist the lower bevel to unlock the top from opening or closing. Once lower bevel is open, it will drop slightly and the table top is now unlocked. You can now expand or contract by rotating the table top.

Before opening or closing the table, make sure To clean the table with a dry cloth to remove any dry debris. Otherwise debris might fall into the table inside which is hard to access.

Cleaning and Care:

Clean the table with a damp non abrasive microfiber cloth. You can use mild soap. Make sure to always dry the table well.

The table top is a wood veneer (over wood). Treat it like you would for any wood surface with care. We suggest using coasters and protective placements and to not leave hot coffee or other liquids or it could mark the wood surface. It can be touched up with stains or other wood treatments for repair.

Trouble shooting:

If the lower table portion becomes stuck and it is not dropping easily, try pushing the top of the table in the opposite direction while pulling the lower portion away. This should help unlock it
